Switzerland’s FDI in Azerbaijan hits significant milestone

Switzerland’s direct foreign investment (FDI) in Azerbaijan’s economy in 2025 amounted to 326.378 million USD.

Axar.az reports, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), that the volume of investments increased 5.07 times, or by 262.009 million USD, over the year.

Swiss investments accounted for 4.9% of the total direct foreign investments in Azerbaijan.

Last year, Azerbaijan invested 37.833 million USD in the Swiss economy (a 99.94% decrease over the year), with Azerbaijan’s share in Switzerland’s total DFI standing at 1.5%.

It is worth noting that in 2025, direct foreign investments in Azerbaijan’s economy totaled 6.595 billion USD (a 6.4% decrease over the year), while Azerbaijan invested 2.528 billion USD abroad (a 43.4% increase).
