Azerbaijan boosts oil exports to Bulgaria

In January–March of this year, Azerbaijan exported 130.8 thousand tons of oil and petroleum products derived from bituminous minerals to Bulgaria, worth $67.9 million.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee.

The statement said that compared to the same period in 2025, exports increased by $19.7 million, or 40.9% in value terms, and by 51.5 thousand tons, or 64.9% in physical volume.

In January–March of last year, Azerbaijan exported 79.3 thousand tons of oil and petroleum products derived from bituminous minerals to Bulgaria, valued at $48.2 million.

It should be noted that in January–March, Azerbaijan exported 5.077 million tons of crude oil and petroleum products derived from bituminous minerals to other countries, worth $2.501 billion.

According to the data, compared to the same period in 2025, this represents a decrease of $836 million, or 25.1% in value terms, and 934 thousand tons, or 15.5% in volume.
