Cape Town to host global energy representatives

South Africa's southwestern city of Cape Town will welcome international players from the energy sector for a three-day conference between June 5 and 7.

The Africa Oil and Power conference 2017, of which Anadolu Agency is the global communications partner, will gather ministers, senior level government officials and top executives of private sector companies involved in the entire value chain, including upstream, downstream, power generation as well as legal and financial activities.

Some 63 speakers and 500 investors are expected to attend.

The event will hold discussions on a multitude of issues concerning Africa's electricity landscape and energy in general.

The panel topics will include oil and gas exploration and investment opportunities, the market environment amid low oil prices, upstream and downstream sectors and energy policy and law.
