Inflation rate will fall after the second half of 2022

According to the forecasts of international organizations, leading central banks of the world, and the Azerbaijani government, inflation will fall starting from the second half of the year.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from the Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) Elman Rustamov.

According to him, the government and the Central Bank are aiming to reduce inflation: "As you know, inflation is a global economic process. The results of January show that the inflation is rising in the leading countries."

"We have high hopes for the reduction of inflation globally. Because monetary policy must be tightened. They must strengthen anti-inflationary measures to limit inflation in their countries and reduce inflation imports to Azerbaijan. On the other hand, the internal factors of inflation are also under control. We are gradually tightening monetary policy."
