Russian gas is refused: EU turns to Africa

The European Union intends to intensify cooperation with African countries to reduce its dependence on Russian gas by the end of 2022.

Axar.az informs this was reported by Bloomberg.

It was stated that the document should be adopted this month as part of the package to implement the organization's plan to reduce energy dependence on Moscow:

"African countries, especially Nigeria, Senegal and Angola in the western part of the continent, have significant potential for liquefied natural gas (LNG). After the occupation of Ukraine, President Vladimir Putin wants to give up the EU's largest supplier" the statement said.
