Azerbaijani company to build gypsum plant

Azerbaijani company Matanat-A intends to build a gypsum plant in Iran, Mohsen Pak Ayeen, Iranian ambassador to Baku, said at the Azerbaijan-Iran business forum Sept. 20.

“We had a meeting with Matanat-A representatives and reached an agreement on the issue,” he said. “Azerbaijan is developing and we are happy with Azerbaijan’s success in the production of building materials. We welcome Matanat-A company’s initiative.”

Jafar Sarghini, Iran’s deputy industry minister for mining and mineral industries, said the Azerbaijani company has already obtained a license to operate in Iran.
