A meeting between the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov and the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Turkey, Fikri Ishyk was held in Batumi on May 23.

During the meeting it was noted that the constantly developing military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey is built on fraternal and friendly relations and is fruitful for both countries.

The sides also discussed the continuation of activities aimed at contributing to the ensuring of peace and stability at the regional and global level, holding joint exercises, organizing working meetings of specialists, and expanding cooperation in the military-technical sphere and in the field of military education.
