An Iranian fighter jet crashed in southern Iran on Sunday.

Axar.az reports citing Mehr news agency.

The aircraft went down in the southern Bushehr province near the Persian Gulf due to "technical problems", Abdol-Hossein Rafieepour, governor of Tangestan Couny in southern Iran, said.

He said both the pilot and the co-pilot were safe.
