Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations has disseminated information about the explosion that occurred at a defense industry plant in the country’s Shirvan city on July 26.

According to the information received by 112 hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, an explosion occurred at Araz defense industry plant of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense Industry at around 15:30 (GMT+4) July 26, said the ministry.

The relevant forces of the ministry immediately arrived at the scene, necessary measures are underway to ensure the safety at the scene and eliminate the consequences of the accident.

The senior staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and heads of the ministry’s relevant structural divisions have arrived at the scene.
