6 naval mines found in the Caspian Sea -

Unidentified objects were found at a depth of up to 60 meters during the territorial exploration conducted by the branch of the operating company "UMID BABEK OPERATING COMPANY" in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports citing the Defense Ministry.

According to the information, during the inspection carried out by relevant vessels and specialized specialists of the Naval Forces involved in the water area of the sea, which was used as a landfill for Tral vessels in the former USSR, the discovered objects were identified as 6 large naval mines (KB-1) thrown into the water during the former USSR without fully complying with mining standards.
