President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has embarked on a state visit to Kyrgyzstan.

Axar.az reports citing the Kyrgyz media that the President's airplane landed at Manas International Airport.

President Ilham Aliyev was met at the airport by President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov.

Within the framework of the state visit, the leaders of Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan will hold bilateral talks and take part in the first meeting of the Interstate Council.

The Park of Kyrgyzstan-Azerbaijan Friendship and secondary schools named after Heydar Aliyev and Nizami Ganjavi will be opened as part of the visit.
