On the night of February 24-25, 2017, a memorial ceremony dedicated to the memory of Azerbaijani Army servicemen Agshin Abdullayev, Shahlar Nazarov, Tural Hashimli, Zulfu Gadimov and Zakir Jafarov, who died while preventing large-scale provocations by the Armenian armed forces on all fronts, was held.

Axar.az was told by the press service of the Ministry of Defense that the ceremony was attended by representatives of the Ministry, Khojavand District Executive Power and the public, family members, relatives of the martyrs, comrades-in-arms, schoolchildren and other guests.

First, the memory of the National Leader of our people Heydar Aliyev, martyrs for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was commemorated with a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.

Those who spoke at the ceremony talked about the glorious life and fighting path of the martyrs, and talked about the examples of heroism and valor shown by our brave sons.

The family members and relatives of the martyrs expressed their gratitude for the attention and care shown, as well as for honoring the memory of our martyrs.

Then, carnations were arranged in front of the memorial plaque of the martyrs in the "Memorial Park" and prayers were read for their souls.
