Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister Oleksandr Mishchenko has met with Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Ukraine, Seymur Mardaliyev.

Axar.az reports that the meeting included an exchange of views on respect for territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as priority areas of bilateral cooperation in all fields of mutual interest.

In the context of Azerbaijan’s chairmanship of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development (GUAM), attention was also paid to the issue of convening a regular meeting of the GUAM Council of Foreign Ministers.

Mishchenko thanked Azerbaijan on behalf of his country, primarily for the humanitarian assistance provided for the restoration of Ukraine’s energy system and civilian infrastructure.
