ADY Chairman meets Turkmen Deputy PM at Baku Port -

Rovshan Rustamov, Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) under AZCON Holding, met with Nokarkulu Atakuliev, Deputy Chairman of Turkmenistan’s Cabinet of Ministers, at Baku International Sea Trade Port.

Axar.az reports, the Turkmen delegation received detailed information about Baku Port, including works carried out after its integration with ADY and the port’s role in multimodal transport along the Middle Corridor.

It was noted that last year the port handled a record volume of over 100,000 TEU containers, made possible by significant investments in Azerbaijan’s transport infrastructure.

During bilateral discussions, the parties exchanged views on deepening the seabed at the Turkmenbashi International Sea Port, improving infrastructure, and increasing cargo transportation through the port.

The sides also emphasized the importance of digital information exchange to ensure coordinated operations between the railways and international seaports of both countries.

In addition, the meeting highlighted potential measures to expand cooperation in multimodal transport under the development of the Middle Corridor and the Eurasian Transport Route, aiming to increase cargo flows along the East–West–East direction.
