Relocation of peacekeepers' families to Karabakh

Armenian sources claim that the transfer of families of peacekeepers to Karabakh is underway: Araik is talking with Russia in this direction, and there are reports that an agreement has been reached.

Axar.az reports that the accuracy of the information is questionable - especially against the background of the occasional displacement of servicemen in the Russian contingent. But it is also true that this scenario benefits the separatists and the Russians:

- During possible military operations, the separatists will be able to accuse Azerbaijan of "attacking the families of the peacekeepers" and thereby organize their own defense against the Russian contingent;

- With this, Russia can increase the "Russian community" in Karabakh and expand the possibilities of long-term stay in the region.
