Russia opened "warning fire" on Yerevan

Armenia's recognition of the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court (ICC), which recently issued a warrant for Putin's arrest, has caused serious indignation in Russia. In order to fully recognize the ICC's jurisdiction, it is necessary to ratify the agreement in parliament. This may also question the already sensitive Armenian-Russian relations.

Axar.az reports that Armenian political scientist Sergey Melkonyan said this while commenting on the positive opinion of the Constitutional Court of Armenia regarding the ICC.

"Honestly, I cannot understand why Yerevan should ratify the Rome Statute. Even if the ICC makes a decision and declares Azerbaijan guilty, Baku can simply ignore it. Because they do not recognize this agreement and are not subject to its jurisdiction.
