"Zangezur corridor will connect Turkiye and Azerbaijan. The work of opening this corridor is proceeding rapidly and is gradually coming to an end," said Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Turkiye Rashad Mammadov in an interview with TRT Haber.

Axar.az reports that stressing that the distance between Turkiye and Azerbaijan will decrease to 38 kilometres with the Zangezur Corridor, Ambassador Mammadov said: "This is also important for Turkiye's trade relations with Asia. Turkiye will establish the connection between East and West".

The Ambassador noted that the Zangezur Corridor project is important for Armenia to ensure its own security.
