I have said it, I want to say it again, the Armenian population in Karabakh are our citizens.

Axar.az reports that President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said this in his address to the nation on September 20.

The head of our state noted that Armenian nationalists, war criminals, and the stubborn "leaders" of Armenia and Karabakh took those people (Armenian population of Karabakh - ed.) hostage and poisoned their brains. He made up endless lies about Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani people and filled their minds with poison.

"I am sure that the Armenian population living in Karabakh will soon see a change for the better. Because our intention is to build a life together based on peace, mutual understanding, and mutual respect. We have no problems with the Armenian people, we have no enmity," President Ilham Aliyev said.
