Azerbaijan will support the Armenian population of the Karabakh region.
Axar.az reports that the head of the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Aykhan Hajizade, said this in an interview with "Al-Jazeera" TV channel.
He noted that the increase in the systematic firing of the positions of the Azerbaijani army by the units of the Armenian armed forces, and the continuation of the mining of our territories, led to the local anti-terrorist measures against the representatives of the separatist and puppet regime established in Karabakh by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
According to A. Hajizade, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan himself declared that during these anti-terrorist measures, Azerbaijan did not harm the Armenian residents of Karabakh:
"The Karabakh region has always been an integral part of Azerbaijan. All ethnic minorities of Azerbaijan have always lived in friendly conditions in our country. Azerbaijan is a multi-ethnic country, Armenians and Azerbaijanis have always lived together throughout history. Our country will ensure the reintegration of Karabakh Armenians."
