Public TV, the official broadcaster of "Eurovision" in our country, announced that Azerbaijan will not participate in the 22nd children's "Eurovision" song contest to be held this year.

Axar.az reports that in this regard, it was stated in the information given by the channel:

"The lack of interest in the competition in our country, the expenses incurred in the years we participated, and the fact that the rating results did not justify themselves, put participation in this competition on the back burner.

In the future, if there is a suitable and interesting candidate, the plan for re-participation will be reviewed and known," said the information.

It should be noted that the competition will take place on November 16 in Madrid, Spain.

Our country took part in the contest for the last time in 2021 and was 5th with the song "One of Those Days" performed by Sona Azizova.
