Pashinyan says Armenia, Azerbaijan mark Victory Day in peace

We are marking the 81st anniversary of Victory in World War II in a peaceful atmosphere between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

“We are observing May 9, 2026, in a peaceful environment between Armenia and Azerbaijan. For two years now, as a result of the Armenia–Azerbaijan conflict, there have been no casualties or injuries, and our border communities have been living free from confrontation. This is a significant achievement that we have reached for the first time since independence.

Our task today is to safeguard the peace we have achieved and strengthen it every day. The established peace is a historic opportunity for our country to reach an unprecedented level of security, prosperity, and development. Today, we are confidently moving along this path,” the prime minister said.
