Axar.az reports that the statement came from Yagut Garayeva, head of the Disease Prevention and Control Department of the Medical Territorial Units Management Unit (TABIB), at a briefing at the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers.

According to him, the opinion that the Delta strain cannot be detected in the country is wrong:

"We have all the opportunities in this regard."

Garayeva said that the disease spread among children is a seasonal disease:

"It simply came to our notice then. Respiratory viral infections play a role here. If children have a coronavirus, it can be detected through tests."
