The Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (IHRC) will prepare a report on the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.
Axar.az informs that this was announced during the meeting of the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the Demining Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) Samir Poladov with the OIC delegation visiting the country.
S. Poladov informed the other side about the current problem of mines and unexploded military ammunition in the liberated territories of our country, the serious threat posed by that problem to human life, obstacles to the restoration and reconstruction of the territories, as well as the activities carried out in the direction of combating the threat of mines.
During their visit to the city of Ganja, the delegation visited the residential area that was subjected to rocket attacks by the enemy during the Patriotic War and expressed that they were horrified by what they saw. Also, within the framework of the visit, they witnessed the destruction of religious, cultural and historical monuments, and cemeteries belonging to Azerbaijanis in the Agdam and Fuzuli regions, as well as serious pollution of civilian areas with mines.
They also noted that they intend to prepare a relevant report on the facts obtained in the liberated territories and present it to the international community.
