China fully supports the chairmanship of Azerbaijan at COP29.

Axar.az reports that Dean Tao, China's charge d'affaires in Azerbaijan, said this at the event dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

According to him, China is committed to creating a fair global climate management system based on mutually beneficial cooperation with Azerbaijan.

"Practical cooperation between our countries continues to deepen. In the first 7 months of this year, bilateral trade turnover increased by 21.9% year-on-year and reached a record level. "One Belt and One Road" initiative helps speed up coordination within the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, as the number of Sino-European railway express trains passing through Azerbaijan on the southern part of this route is increasing rapidly," he said.

Din Tao noted that the trade turnover between China and Azerbaijan is also showing dynamic growth. According to him, Azerbaijani products are becoming more and more popular in China.

"The past 32 years of Sino-Azerbaijani relations have shown that the countries can successfully cooperate with different social systems, ideologies and histories by adhering to the principles of mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, non-interference in the internal affairs of other states, equality and mutual benefit, as well as peaceful coexistence.", he said.

China's chargé d'affaires emphasized that cooperation between the two countries is developing within the framework of international organizations.
