Chairman of the Russian Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko accepted the official visit invitation of the Chairman of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova.

Axar.az reports that the Council's press service has released information about this.

"Sahiba Gafarova has invited Valentina Matviyenko for an official visit to Azerbaijan. The chairman of the Federation Council has accepted the invitation. The exact date of the visit will be agreed," the information stated.

It was reported that V. Matviyenko and S. Gafarova agreed to activate parliamentary relations during the meeting held within the framework of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly.

In addition, issues of bilateral cooperation, including mutual activity on the parliamentary line, as well as on international platforms, were discussed.
