On December 10, Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, visited the social service institution for disabled persons under the age of 18, located in the Mardakan settlement of Baku.
Axar.az reports that Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev informed Leyla Aliyeva about the activities of the social service institution. It was noted that up to 150 children are provided with rehabilitation services in the institution.
Leyla Aliyeva got acquainted with the workshop, labor therapy, exercise, active therapy, music, sports rooms created for improving children's skills in the institution. The children showed a fashion show, performed dances and painted on the canvas together with the guests.
The vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation also visited the Vocational Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Disabilities in Ramana settlement of the capital. Here, Leyla Aliyeva was informed about the organization of vocational rehabilitation.
It was noted that this year, 500 people aged 15-29 with disabilities were served at the institution, and 143 beneficiaries are currently in vocational training. It was stated that those admitted to the center are provided with accommodation, food and rehabilitation services at the expense of the state.
Leyla Aliyeva got acquainted with the vocational training process at the Center, watched table games of young people with disabilities, and met with members of the national boccia team.
The beneficiaries performed the National Anthem of Azerbaijan in sign language. Then there was a fashion show of their handmade clothes.
Young people in the training course performed "Innaby" dance and Leyla Aliyeva danced with them. People with disabilities also performed songs and poems of Leyla Aliyeva.
Gifts were presented to both social service institutions by the vice president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
