Defense Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov received a delegation of the Land Forces Command of Turkish Armed Forces led by Lieutenant General Tuncay Altug, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan.

During the meeting at the Ministry of Defense, Colonel General Z. Hasanov welcomed the guests and expressed his pleasure to see them in Azerbaijan.

The defense minister spoke about the joint military history of Azerbaijan and Turkiye, rooted in ancient times, and highlighted how the personal friendship between the leaders of the two brotherly countries has elevated military cooperation to the level of strategic partnership in the modern era.

Expressing gratitude for the warm hospitality, Lieutenant General T. Altuğ shared his positive impressions of the meetings held during his visit with the defense minister.

The meeting emphasized the importance of mutual exchange of experience, joint exercises, and bilateral visits to further expand military cooperation between the countries.

At the end of the meeting, extensive discussions were held on regional security, the current state of military relations, and other topics of mutual interest.
