Russian President Vladimir Putin did not know in the first minutes what caused the crash of the Baku-Grozny plane. The Russian Ministry of Defense delivered the report on the "accidental" downing of the passenger plane to the owner of the Kremlin in the first hours of the accident. Most likely, Putin knew that the Baku-Grozny plane was shot down by the Russian military when he was opening the informal summit of the CIS heads of state in St. Petersburg.

Axar.az reports that these words were noted by political scientist Elkhan Shahinoglu.

"The main question is another: Who ordered that our passenger plane was not allowed to land at one of the airports near Grozny after it was "accidentally" shot down? Who wanted the downed plane to be lost and sunk in the Caspian Sea? This order could not have been issued by high-ranking military personnel in Grozny. It is an international crime to sentence the passengers of the plane to death to lose track. This is not a forgivable incident," he said.

It should be noted that on December 25, an AZAL plane carrying out the Baku-Grozny flight crashed in Aktau. Of the 67 passengers on board, 38 died and 29 survived.

According to preliminary information, our plane was targeted by the Russian "Pantsir S1" missile over Grozny, and at the same time, the electronic system of the plane was disabled by the radio-electronic combat system. Since Grozny, Makhachkala, and Minvod airports did not allow landing, the plane headed to Aktau airport.
