Dagestan leader offers condolences over AZAL crash

The head of the Republic of Dagestan of the Russian Federation, Sergey Malikov, expressed his condolences to the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, regarding the numerous deaths due to the accident of the AZAL plane in Aktau.

Axar.az reports that it is mentioned in his condolences:

On behalf of all Dagestanis and personally, I offer my deepest condolences to the families and relatives of those who died as a result of the accident of the passenger plane of the "AZAL" airline flying from Baku to Grozny.

We sincerely share your pain, we grieve with you.

We wish the injured to recover soon."

It should be recalled that on December 25, the "Embraer" plane belonging to AZAL, flying from Baku to Grozny, crashed near the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan. There were 62 passengers on board the plane, including 37 citizens of Azerbaijan, 16 of Russia, 6 of Kazakhstan, and 3 of Kyrgyzstan, as well as 5 crew members. As a result of the incident, 38 passengers died, and 29 people, including 3 children, survived.

According to the order of President Ilham Aliyev, mourning was announced in Azerbaijan on December 26, 2024, in memory of those who died in the plane crash.
