Today, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with General Lieutenant Alexander Kurenkov, the Minister of Civil Defense, Emergencies, and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters, at the Kremlin.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by the "CaucasianLive" Telegram channel.

It was noted that they discussed the oil spill in the Black Sea as well as the recent plane crash in Aktau.

To recall, on December 25, an AZAL plane operating the Baku-Grozny flight was shot by Russian air defense systems over Grozny, causing significant damage. Denied permission to land, the plane diverted to Aktau but crashed near Aktau Airport. The accident resulted in 38 fatalities among the 67 people on board, while 29 survived.
