A telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkiye, Hakan Fidan.
Axar.az was informed about this by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
During the telephone conversation, issues of regional and international security, as well as bilateral and multilateral cooperation were discussed.
Hakan Fidan once again expressed the condolences of the state and people of Turkiye regarding the tragic accident of the passenger plane of our country near the city of Aktau during the Baku-Grozny flight and wished mercy to those who died as a result of the accident and recovery to the injured. It was pointed out that Turkiye is always in solidarity with brotherly Azerbaijan, as well as it is always ready to provide possible support.
Jeyhun Bayramov thanked for the condolences and continued support and solidarity, stated that the investigation of the causes of the plane crash is under the direct control of the country's leadership and that a state commission has been established in this direction, and informed about the work done.
The parties also discussed the current situation in the Middle East, including Syria. The intention of our country to provide humanitarian aid in Syria was discussed.
During the conversation, cooperation perspectives and plans within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States were reviewed.
Within the framework of the telephone conversation, opinions were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
