Six Russian citizens injured in the crash of an aircraft owned by Azerbaijan Airlines AZAL in western Kazakhstan are continuing their treatment in a hospital setting.

Axar.az, citing TASS, reports that this was stated by Alexey Kuznetsov, Assistant to the Russian Minister of Health.

He noted that the condition of three of the injured is severe:
"Three Russians injured in the crash in Aktau have been discharged from the hospital due to improvements in their condition. Treatment for six individuals is ongoing in the hospital, three of whom are in severe condition. The condition of the other three, including one child, is moderately severe."

It should be noted that on December 25, an AZAL plane operating the Baku-Grozny flight was severely damaged after being struck by Russian air defense systems over Grozny airspace. Denied permission to land, the plane diverted to Aktau but crashed near Aktau airport. Of the 67 people on board, 38 were killed, and 29 survived.
