Remains of missing Indian citizen found in Zagatala

On February 9, Zagatala Police Department officers conducted an operation that led to the discovery of remains likely belonging to Kondaveti Maniqanta, a 1993-born citizen of India, who went missing in May 2022 in the Zagatala district. The remains, along with a handbag, bank cards, mobile phone, and other personal belongings, were found in the "Shamilovka" forest area near the village of Jar in the Greater Caucasus mountains.

Axar.az reports that the remains and items were collected from the elevated area and sent to the Zagatala district prosecutor's office for further examination.

An investigation is underway at the Zagatala district prosecutor's office regarding the case.
