Azerbaijani embassy issues warning on Turkiye protests

The Education Counsellor's Office of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Turkiye has issued a statement regarding the mass protests organized by the CHP over the arrest of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.

Axar.az reports that the statement was shared on the official page of the Education Counsellor's Office.

"Dear students! You are requested not to participate in protests taking place in your university and city and to stay away from such events," the statement said.

It should be noted that, according to Turkish law, any foreign citizen, including international students, who participates in demonstrations related to internal politics is immediately deported.
