On April 2, a resettlement convoy arrived in Sarijali village of the Aghdam district.
Axar.az reports keys to new homes were handed over to 28 families (110 people) as part of this phase of resettlement.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Special Representative Office of the President of Azerbaijan in Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavand districts, as well as officials from the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons. The relocated families were provided with newly built individual houses in Sarijali village.
It should be noted that nearly 40,000 people currently reside in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur, including former internally displaced persons, employees working on local development projects, as well as staff of state institutions, and workers in newly reopened healthcare, education, culture, tourism, industry, and energy sectors.
