Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler Haji Aliyev reached the semi-finals of the European Championship held in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia.

Axar.az reports that the athlete, who performed in the 70 kg weight class, defeated Gianluca Talamo (Italy) and Kevin Christopher Henkel (Germany) consecutively.

Also today, Aliabbas Rzazade (57 kg), Sabuhi Amiraslanov (79 kg), Magomedkhan Magomedov (97 kg) and Ali Rahimzade (65 kg) will compete in the 1/4 final match.

It should be noted that the European Championship will end on April 23.
