Maria Stadnik became a nine-time European champion

Azerbaijani female wrestler Mariya Stadnik reached the final match of the European Championship held in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia.

Axar.az reports that the 50 kg athlete faced Ukrainian Oksana Livach in the match for the gold medal.

Stadnik, who defeated his opponent with a score of 9:4, became the European champion for the 9th time.

Also today, Elnura Mammadova (55 kg) and Alyona Kolesnik (59 kg) will wrestle for the bronze medal.

It should be noted that earlier freestyle wrestlers were European champions in the team account with 6 medals. The competition will end on April 23.
