Our wrestler defeated the Armenian

The European wrestling championship in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, continues.

Axar.az reports that five more Greco-Roman wrestlers of Azerbaijan started fighting today. Each of our athletes started the competition from the 1/8 finals.

Nihat Mammadli, who performed in the 60 kg weight category, faced Edmond Nazaryan, a representative of Bulgaria. Our athlete lost to his opponent with a score of 3:7.

Hasrat Jafarov competing in 67 kg met Pedro De Morais (Portugal) and won 2:1. He won the right to compete in the semi-finals by beating Norway's Havard Jorgensen 7:1 in the 1/4 finals.

Ulvu Ganizade in the 72 kg category defeated Ukrainian Andrey Kulik 4:1 in the first match and Deivid Dimitrov from Bulgaria 3:1 in the next round. Here he will face Selcuk Can (Turkey).

Rafig Huseynov, the 82 kg champion wrestler, beat Swiss Mark Weber (Switzerland) 8:0 in the first match. In the 1/4 finals, he defeated Armenian Samvel Grigoryan (3:2) and qualified for the semi-finals. Rafiq will wrestle with Burhan Akbudak (Turkey) to reach the finals.

Arif Niftullayev, fighting at 97 kg, faced the Czech Artur Omarov. He lost to his opponent with a score of 1:2.
