The 17th world chess champion was determined

Chinese grandmaster Ding Liren became the 17th world champion after defeating Russian Yan Nepomniyashi in a tie-break match for the chess crown.

Axar.az reports that the winner of the match was determined in the fourth game of the tie-break (quick, time control 25 minutes + 10 seconds).

The Russian athlete admitted his defeat in the 68th round. The tie-break score was 2.5:1.5 in favor of Liren.
