This final marks the 69th edition of the Champions League. The most successful club in the tournament is "Real Madrid," having won the cup 14 times and also appeared in the final of Europe's most prestigious club competition three times.

The last time Madrid won the Champions League was in 2022 when they defeated England's "Liverpool" (1-0) in the decisive match.

"Borussia" won the Champions League once in the final of 1997, defeating Italy's "Juventus" (3-1). Although they reached the final in 2013, they lost to Germany's "Bayern Munich" (1-2).
