NASA has discovered traces of ancient lakes in the Jezero crater on Mars.

Axar.az reports that the press service of the University of California has released information about this.

According to the information, the "Perseverance" rover studied the soil and provided a two-dimensional image of the surface area at a depth of 20 meters:

"The exposed rock layers show that the sediments were formed by the river that fed the crater. "Scientists suggest that these deposits were formed about 3 billion years ago."
