Thanks to the presence of CSTO peacekeeping forces in Kazakhstan, it has become possible to change the course of the fight against illegal armed groups.

Axar.az reports the statement came from Igor Korotchenko, a military expert and editor-in-chief of the National Defense Magazine.

"Currently, Kazakhstan has managed to change the situation. This is due to the military-political factor in the presence of CSTO peacekeepers in the region," Korotchenko said.

The expert noted that the main goal of the CSTO's military presence is to stabilize the situation:

"Thanks to such military support, Kazakhstan's security forces are acting confidently and accurately, solving the task of neutralizing illegal armed groups, eliminating the consequences of riots and armed conflicts. The decision to deploy a CSTO peacekeeping contingent had to be made under force majeure." "The timing of the delivery and deployment of a contingent based on the Airborne Forces shows that the Russian Armed Forces are in excellent shape, capable of quick and agile, as well as unexpected entry movements."
