On the instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, measures is being taken to create modern military infrastructure and improve the combat readiness of units within the framework of reforms in the Azerbaijani Army.

The Minister of Defense, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, and other senior officials of the Ministry got acquainted with the conditions created in the newly built administrative building of the General Army Training Center, as well as the work done in the field of training. It was reported that the center, adapted to the real combat conditions, taking into account the purpose of the units of different types of troops, has created the necessary infrastructure to develop combat training and tactical-special skills of servicemen to be involved in training.
Then the leadership of the ministry got acquainted with the conditions created in the military unit located in the Kalbajar region.
It was noted that the military unit has a dormitory and service rooms equipped with furniture for exemplary service of personnel, a bathroom, a drying room, a medical center, a food warehouse for storing food, a canteen, and kitchen equipment. The building has a central heating system, electricity, water and stable communications, as well as generators to provide the area with uninterrupted electricity.
Then, Colonel-General Z. Hasanov watched the exemplary performances of servicemen at the training center of the military unit. It was noted that servicemen are trained in fire and mountain training, as well as overcoming various obstacles and other activities.
Evaluating the combat and moral-psychological training of the personnel, the Minister inquired about their care and noted the tasks set by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev to the Azerbaijani Army.
