The re-election of President Ilham Aliyev as the head of state in the extraordinary presidential elections is very important from the point of view of the security and stability of Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that Mevlud Chavushoghlu, the former foreign minister of Turkiye, and the head of the delegation of this country's parliament to NATO, told AzTV.

He noted that these elections are important for the future of the South Caucasus, Azerbaijan-Turkiye and the Turkic world:

"It was a choice not only for Azerbaijan but also for the Turkic world. We are also happy for the people of Azerbaijan and the future of Turkish-Azerbaijani relations."
