A major fire has broken out at RAF Fairford airbase in the United Kingdom.
Axar.az reports, citing The Sun, the incident occurred at the base in the early hours of the morning, with one of the buildings catching fire.
The blaze is reported to have started in a disused former commissary building on the perimeter of the base around 1 a.m. No injuries have been reported.
It is noted that RAF Fairford is a key European operations hub for the United States Air Force and has been used to host strategic bomber aircraft, including B-52s.
The US Air Force confirmed that an investigation has been launched into the circumstances of the fire, while firefighting operations involved multiple emergency services from Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire.
