A solemn ceremony dedicated to the completion of the mission of the Russian peacekeeping contingent was held at the Khojaly airport.

Axar.az reports that after the ceremony, the military equipment belonging to the peacekeepers left the region.

It should be recalled that the withdrawal of the Russian peacekeeping contingent from the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan began on April 17.

A decision was made by the supreme leadership of both countries to withdraw Russian peacekeepers from the territory of Azerbaijan ahead of time.
