Three Azerbaijani ships, along with their crews, have been detained in waters belonging to the African state of Eritrea.

Axar.az reports that this information was shared by long-distance captain Sayyar Guliyev.

He claims that the crew has been held hostage for nearly two months without food or water. It is reported that the ships, which departed from Baku en route to Arabia, changed course toward Africa—specifically Eritrea—due to windy weather and were allegedly detained for entering Eritrean waters.
