Following the agreement on military cooperation signed between Azerbaijan and Turkiye, a ceremony for exchanging national flags was held in preparation for the joint exercise "Winter Training—2025" to be held in Kars, Turkiye.

Axar.az was informed about this by the Ministry of Defense.

It was reported that the flag platoon received the flag from the command of the General Army in Alahid and started marching from the city of Nakhchivan to the Saderak border crossing point - to the "Umid" bridge on the Araz River. At the same time, the Turkish flag platoon marched from the city of Kars to the place where the ceremony would be held.

After the national anthems of the Republics of Azerbaijan and Turkiye were played on the "Umid" bridge, the flags were changed in a ceremony.

Then, at the event held on the occasion of personnel and military equipment's departure from the training site, the Commander of the Military Intelligence Service, Major General Kanan Seyidov, spoke about the importance of joint military exercises and wished the training participants success.

After the event, the units to be involved in the training left from Nakhchivan.

According to the training plan, various training-combat tasks will be carried out in residential areas, difficult terrains, deep snow, and severe cold.
