Tehran and Yerevan have reached an agreement on the construction of a second Norduz bridge.
Axar.az informs according to Iran’s Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Farzaneh Sadegh, the two countries have reached a preliminary agreement in the field of transportation on building the second Norduz bridge, improving the existing one, regulating terminals, and adjusting fees for freight trucks.
The minister added that progress is being made on the strategic project that will connect the Persian Gulf with the Black Sea by rail:
“There is already a railway line in Iran toward Julfa, and its extension from Nakhchivan to Yerevan has been approved. This railway could play a key role in transit between Iran, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Europe,” Sadegh noted.
