Azerbaijani wrestler wins bronze at U-20 World Championship

Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler has won a bronze medal at the U-20 World Championship held in Samokov, Bulgaria.

Axar.az reports that on the third day of the tournament, Vasif Baghirov (57 kg) gave no chance to his Japanese opponent Rin Sakamoto in the repechage match, winning 10–2.

In the decisive bout, our wrestler defeated Moldovan athlete Ion Bulgaru with a score of 8–2 to claim the bronze medal.
